Challenge: The task for this project was to create 4 of the same email campaigns to send members, non-members, incoming members, and others using any software I desire to create an email design to send out to the club members.

My Process
The Goal?
The club president assigned me to create an email design to send out to the club members and their families. This was my first internship and this was one of many tasks that I was required to do for the club president. So, I wanted to make sure that I did my best and designed to the best of my ability.
Getting Started
As I was choosing through which software to use, Norbert Kerr, the club president wanted me to make sure that he has access to it as well, but other than that I can do what I please. So, I chose MailChimp because it was basically a website and they had good rating and me and Mr. Kerr could access it. Mailchimp is an American marketing automation platform and an email marketing service.
Challenges
While working with it, I realized that there was a lot of minor problems such as: the merge tags and font readability. The text were too close together and huge. The merge tags helped to also show the members names or nicknames and the font was a bit hard to tell until you sent it into a test run.
The Fix
After days of working with it, I got the tags to work and the font to look how I wanted it to. Making sure it looked right on all platforms was the main goal, which is why it took so long, but the president liked it and so did I.

Lessons Learned
Don't be afraid to fail. It'll make you much stronger in the long run. If you're not failing, then you are not growing. I had to tell myself it's okay that this didn't go as I wanted because I can find a way to always make it better.
Try out different software on your own. I just went head first into using MailChimp and I did not even consider other software or websites that could have been easier for me to work with.
It's okay to not know the answers. I was so confused when I was doing this because I never made something like this before and it's okay to talk with your supervisor or team and come to an agreement to get help or find some alternative.
